HANSRUEDI GOES WILD
ART GENÈVE
ANYWHERE TO FLY
The Club des Créatif·ive·s Suisses, for its first initiative, invites 10 creatives from all horizons to question the traditional Swiss cuckoo clock. Based on HANSRUEDI, a modern cuckoo clock produced by Søren Henrichsen, design editor and founding member of the association.
The concept of this cuckoo clock is to combine Swiss precision with Scandinavian minimalism. Its design with simple and pure forms is an ideal basis for more daring and original creations. HANSRUEDI cuckoo clocks are made in Geneva. The raw material is local and so is the work. It is therefore a project that favors short circuits and minimizes grey energy emissions while stimulating the creativity of the Swiss art scene.
I drew the sound that comes out of the cuckoo clock in a dynamic way. I researched how to illustrate the energy that the bird emits when it appears, in order to give a visual movement to this static form of traditional object.
